Top 5 Best Brand Reviews
Based on my research, tests, and overall customer reviews, here are the five water pillow reviews:
What makes the Mediflow Waterbase Pillow the best pillow because of its effectivity! I was amazed as to how it reduced my neck and shoulder pain within days. While it isn't a miracle worker, it does the job in keeping me both pain-free and comfortable throughout the night.
I appreciate that it comes with two layers, with the top one being very soft and feeling like I'm being cradled. The water conforms well to the shape of my head and neck, which is why it reduces neck and back pain well.
As for its sturdiness, I feel like it holds up well to pressure and even a few accidents. It won't puncture and its soft top layer is strong, so it protects the water base under it. Besides its faulty instructions, I believe it to be very effective in improving sleep!
- The pillow helped reduce neck and back pain within a week
- Made of sturdy material made to last for a few years
- Has a soft top layer for a quality of sleep
- The instructions are a bit faulty and take time to understand
- It might have molds if not taken cared for properly
I recommend the Chiroflow Premium Water Pillow for sensitive sleepers, as it's made of a hypoallergenic fiber filling to prevent allergens from coming in. I noticed that I stopped sneezing and having a runny nose in the morning because of it!
What I appreciate most about this product is that it's very easy to use. It comes with understandable instructions and I was able to fill it with water and use within an hour.
The material seems sturdy and I've read that it can last for up to five years before replacement. After a few months with it, it still feels brand new, and I can assume that it can last for longer than what I expect.
When I started sleeping on it, I was satisfied. I started sleeping quicker and waking up feeling refreshed, without migraines or feeling dizzy if I work up in the middle of the night. It didn't remove all the pain, but I feel a difference and I'm able to sleep even longer. All in all, a worthy purchase.
- It can last for many years and still feel new
- Easy to use and adjust the water levels
- Helps reduce pain and migraines effectively
- A bit too high if fully filled to reach a firm level
- Some complaints of feeling “dry” moisture
For those who are looking for something more affordable (as this pillows can be quite expensive!), then the The Duck And Goose Co Premium is the one for you.
This was actually my first pillow purchase, as I wanted to test out something on the cheaper side to see how well it will hold up. Honestly, this pillow is one of the reasons why I wanted to test out more similar products! If it was able to provide great features at its price, I wondered what else a more expensive version has to offer.
You get what you pay for, of course, but I feel like it has more value because of its breathability and cooling effects. It's pretty soft and comfortable, helping me sleep with or without adding more water.
It isn't the most durable and can incur mold easier than other pricier pillows. Also, it's a bit on the heavier side. However, as long as you care for it properly, it can last for as long as two years. The best for any sleeping position and for those on a budget.
- Affordable price with great value
- Softcover with comfort and breathability
- Cooling and has me sleep straighter
- There are complaints of it leaking after a year
- Not as durable as other types of products
While Mediflow Gel-foam Pillow is a bit on the pricier side, you get what you pay for and more! I was a bit hesitant spending this much on a single pillow, but after I tested this out, I can see why Mediflow is one of the trusted companies for their sleeping products.
It's got all the features you need for a comfortable night's sleep, from the cooling effects down to comfort and pain relief with its gel memory foam layer. It had the soft feeling to it but also stayed firm underneath, so it helped me sleep even better. The pillow conforms to your head and doesn't make any noise when you move around, making it suitable for combination sleepers.
Definitely worth the price, though it isn't the best for a lighter person because your weight may not give enough pressure for the pillow to shape.
- Cooling effects to prevent night sweats and hot flashes
- Very soft and comfortable, I sleep straighter and without pain
- Conforms to any sleeping position or head shape easily
- Not the best for lightweight people
- Comes at an high price
Last but not least, we have Mediflow Elite Fiberfill. It's a lower price compared to the other Mediflow products tried and tested, but it still offers the host of features that make it a quality pillow to sleep on.
The pillow's water levels are pretty easy to adjust and I've had no complaints in terms of noise. It has a soft top layer and I chose to have a firmer base, so it conforms well to my head shape while still providing the support I need to lessen the pressure and neck strain I feel in the morning. After a few weeks, the pain has gotten considerably less and I don't toss and turn anymore.
It's best for back or side sleepers, unless you DON'T add as much water, making it workable for stomach sleepers as well. It's simple and works, doing its job in having you sleep straight and well.
- Soft top layer with a firm base helps keep pain to a minimum
- Easy to adjust water levels with understandable instructions
- Jumbo size to fit all head shapes
- Sometimes sloshes and creates a little noise
- A bit on the heavier side especially when filled up
What Is a Water Pillow and How Does It Work?
For those who aren't familiar with this product, it's basically a pillow that uses water as main material. Usually made with a blend of polyester and cotton for its top layer, it offers comfort and a certain degree of firmness levels (according to how you want).
Water pillow has a water bladder secured inside, at its base. It looks and feels just like other pillow types, but with water pockets, for you to customize its filling setting. When filled to your desired firmness, it will be able to give you a comfortable night's sleep.
So instead of the typical stuffing flattening after head pressure and weight, this pillow will be able to stay firm throughout the night. As a result, your neck and head are fully supported the entire time, reducing pressure while offering a sound sleep.

BUYER BEWARE – Poor return policy by MediFlow.
This pillow seems to be hit or miss on if it will work for you. But if it doesn’t, don’t expect that MediFlow will let you return it. We gave two of these for Christmas gifts, but by the time they were opened and tried MediFlow’s return window expired and there was no flexibility. They appear to include shipping time in their “return window” as well as not offering any flexibility around Christmas season (as most stores do) for the fact that it will sit under a tree for a week or so prior to being opened.
This ranks right up there with the worse customer service I have seen from a company.
(I wish I had bought through Amazon who would have likely stood behind it, but I bought directly from MediFlow and am now stuck with two completely useless water balloons).
